Naming Ceremonies & Life Celebrations

Gone are the days of traditional Christenings and what if that doesn't fit in with your belief system?

At Evermore Civil Ceremonies I believe that nobody should be excluded from welcoming wonderful new people into their lives.

Whether your naming a new baby, marking the blending of a new family or having a "Gotya Day" for an adoption, we need to be marking these occasions, putting up the balloons and banners and saying

"We welcome you, we love you and lets start this crazy journey called life together".

Naming Ceremonies are becoming ever more popular. These are joyous occasions, celebrations for the whole family. And the great thing is, you have complete control over the ceremony. There really are no set format and that allows freedom. This freedom is so liberating because it means you can have the ceremony that reflects your family, your values and your beliefs.

To help you make your celebration more special I will:

Meet with you at your home for an hour or so. Listen to your story, hear your ideas and together start creating your ceremony. We will discuss music, readings and poetry that you may like on the day.
A beautiful thing for parents to do is prepare "Promises" for their child. Or have other important people make promises to your child. You can say how you intend to raise them or just promise to shower them in unconditional love. The choice is yours and I will happily help you write these if required.
I will send you a draft of the ceremony via email and we can make as many changes as you need until we have created a ceremony that will truly be a gift to your child.
On the day of the ceremony I will arrive at your chosen location, which can be absolutely anywhere and is only limited by your imagination. The ceremony will take approximately 25 minutes and include a presentation of a naming certificate.
Afterwards I will leave you to carry on with your celebrations but not before giving you a parchment copy of the words we spoke over your child as a lasting reminder of just how special they are.

Naming Ceremonies are all about wonderful new beginnings. This is just the start of some exciting days ahead. Lets Celebrate that!!!

Typical Ceremonies include (but are not limited to):

Welcoming the child
Poems, reading, music and reflections
Announcing the significance of their name.
Parents sharing their hopes and dreams for their child
Other important people sharing their hopes and dreams for the child and for the parents.
Time for presenting significant gifts or speeches
Closing words and a presentation of a Certificate to mark the day.

LIFE CELEBRATIONS

At Evermore Civil Ceremonies I will also happily help you craft a ceremony to suit any life celebration.

If you want to formally mark an engagement, a special birthday, a graduation, retirement or have a moving away party then we can give it a bit more pizzazz by adding a ceremony

If you can dream it and want to mark it with a perfectly written speech then give me a call.
